Susan Rivera, the former president of ACE INA Holdings Inc., the holding company for ACE Ltd.'s US operations, has been named president of Praetorian Financial Group, the recently launched US specialty unit of Hannover Re Group, Business Insurance reported yesterday.

Ms Rivera will report to Rod Fox, chief executive officer of New York-based Praetorian.

Ms Rivera resigned from Ace in January, 2005.

Neither Ms Rivera nor Ace commented on her resignation.

Ms Rivera had been mentioned in an e-mail cited in New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's suit alleging bid rigging and client steering at Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., but she has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
