Bermuda Export Sea Transfer Limited (BEST) has announced the hiring of Vicki Sousa as a customer service representative and as a member of the accounts receivable department. Formerly an employee at the Total Group, where she worked for 16 years as office manager, Mrs Sousa says she is looking forward joining a "stellar team" at BEST.

Vice president, Judy Hagen, said "Vicki's organisational and people skills are second to none and we know that she brings out the best in the people she works with."

Trenwick Group Limited has announced that former chairman and chief executive officer, James F. Billet, Jr. has retired from Trenwick and its subsidiaries effective immediately. Mr. Billet had took a leave of absence in August for health reasons. His retirement coincides with ongoing troubles at Trenwick, the Bermuda based insurance and reinsurance organisation.

W Marston Becker will continue to serve as Acting Chairman and Acting Chief Executive officer of the Company.
