Tyco dumps financial services arm

Tyco International Ltd. yesterday said Tyco Capital, its financial services subsidiary formerly known as CIT, has sold The CIT Group/Sales Financing's Recreational Vehicle (RV) Portfolio to Salomon Smith Barney.

The asset value of the portfolio is approximately $700 million, incremental to the $1 billion that has been previously securitised. Tyco Capital will continue to provide servicing to existing customer accounts.

Tyco bought CIT in June.

4 Tyco International to Pay Cash for LYONs Put Jump to first matched term Bermuda-registered Tyco International Ltd. will pay the purchase price for any Liquid Yield Option(TM) Notes due 2020 (Zero Coupon - Senior) (the "LYONs") it is required to repurchase as of November 17, 2001, entirely in cash.

Holders of the LYONs have the right to require Tyco to repurchase all or a portion of the holder's LYONs as of November 17, 2001.
