TyCom, the telecommunications subsidiary of Bermuda-based conglomerate Tyco International, announced yesterday that the transatlantic segment of its fibre-optic network has been installed and is in its final testing phase.

Cables connect New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam and the company will be offering colocation facilities in each city. A management centre in the United States and a customer care centre in Bermuda are now operational.
