XL appoints Henry to top post
XL Capital Ltd has announced that Joseph C. Henry has been appointed to the position of executive vice president and global controller of XL Global Services.
Mr. Henry will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting and planning, accounting, budgeting and financial analysis.
He moved to Bermuda in 1984 with KPMG Peat Marwick to oversee the training and development of professional practices for Peat Marwick's captive and reinsurance clients.
In 1983, Mr. Henry became audit partner for Peat Marwick's Boston-based insurance practice. He holds a B.B.A. from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York and is a CPA.
Coldwell Banker JW Bermuda Realty announced an addition to its sales team - Phil Scarcliffe. Mr. Scarcliffe passed the real estate exam 14 years ago and has been involved in real estate ever since. Prior to joining the real estate industry on a full time basis, Mr. Scarcliffe dedicated 26 years of service to the Bermuda Police.
ACE Limited has announced that its chief accounting officer, Robert Blee has been promoted to a newly-created position of chief compliance officer.
This new role will include responsibility for ACE's internal controls on a global basis, assuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other new reporting and disclosure requirements.
