Travel agencies have reported an increase in the number of Bermudians going to the West Indies for this year's Test series.

Meyer Agencies organised a charter plane for this week's fourth Test against England in Barbados which was fully booked by cricket lovers -- or people who were just ready for a break.

After filling its own plane, which left on Wednesday morning, the agency sold seats on the Darrell Travel charter which left yesterday.

Five hundred Bermudians travelled with Meyer Agencies, of whom 170 went individually on their own reservations. One hundred people went on the two-island tour which goes from Barbados to Antigua.

The agency added the number of Bermudians leaving this year had increased compared to last year when the West Indies hosted Pakistan.

Darrell Travel booked 95 people on its charter flight but 92 actually left.

This agency was new on the block, as this was its first Test Match charter.

Adderley Brothers Travel sent close to 20 people on individual bookings and gave out free T-Shirts to those going to the Test Match. They also noticed an increase in the number of Bermudians going this year from last.

Adventure Travel sent 30 people to the match, on an individual basis. They reported that the same amount of people went last year.

Llewries Travel sent 160 people on Wednesday morning. That was about the same number as last year.
