Car ship due to call in: DOCKSIDERS
Julian Sykes of Harnett & Richardson said the car ship Lilac Ace is expected on Tuesday with 150 vehicles and 28 cases of spare parts on board.
The ship is en route from Port-au-Prince to Nassau, Bahamas and will be at Number One Dock in Hamilton for only a few hours.
And the Oleander arrived on Sunday with eight cars and one aircraft truck on board.
The vessel also carried 129 dry and 36 refrigerated containers, one oxygen tank, a mafi of steel beams and lamp posts. The Oleander sailed on Tuesday.
A Meyer Agencies spokesman said the Bermuda Islander arrived on Monday with 115 containers (including 14 refrigerated) and three water barges.
On the tourism front, the cruise ships Zenith and Norwegian Crown both arrived in Hamilton on Monday.
The Zenith had 1,339 passengers on board and shifted to St. George's yesterday. The Norwegian Crown had 904 passengers. Both ships will sail today.
On Tuesday, the Horizon docked in Dockyard and the Norwegian Majesty and Song of America both docked in St. Georges.
The Horizon , with 1260 visitors, shifts to Hamilton today and sails tomorrow.
The Song of America , with 1,422 passengers, shifted to Hamilton yesterday and departs tomorrow. The Norwegian Majesty's 1,077 visitors also set sail tomorrow.
On Saturday, 621 passengers aboard the Royal Viking Sun will have a one day stop over. The ship will arrive in Hamilton at 8.30 a.m. and depart at 6 p.m.
In other shipping news, the oil tanker Iver Excel -- used in name only in the recent Weatherbird oil spill exercise -- arrived in St. George's yesterday to discharge its load.
And the US Coast Guard ship Willow departed yesterday after a three day stay.
The US Navy destroyer Samuel B. Roberts stopped at the West End on Monday for bunkers.
