Company in deal with Emirates Airlines

Emirates Airlines to supply the company with in-flight games.

Interactive Entertainment Ltd yesterday announced that Emirates Airlines was the tenth major airline to take out a contract with them to provide Sky Play Interactive Games as an entertainment option for their passengers on long-haul flights.

It makes the Bermuda-based games company the second largest in-flight company after Nintendo.

Dubai-based Emirates Airlines provides service to over 50 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. It is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, and has over 190 international awards for excellence, including Airline of the Year for the past three years.

Under the terms of this agreement, Emirates Airlines provides for the initial installation of seven amusement games on 12 aircraft.

The number of aircraft will increase to 24 through the three-year term agreement.

This will take the number of aircraft flying with Sky Play Interactive Games to 147 aircraft.

Interactive Entertainment was originally founded to develop and introduce an entertaining In-flight Interactive Gaming experience to international airline passengers.

Air China, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Continental Airlines, EgyptAir, Japan Air Lines, Lauda Air, Malaysian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airlines all have subscribed.
