An official at the Bermuda International Airport said the weekly flight was due into Bermuda at 9.30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lester Nelson, head of airport operations, said the pilot circled 50 miles from the Island but was forced to divert to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport for fuel when visibility did not clear.

The Airbus then went back to Halifax for a new crew and landed in Bermuda on Sunday.
