The Premier's entourage worked its way through the booths of companies domiciled in Bermuda, paying particular attention to the service providers that have a presence in Bermuda. All companies that have a Bermuda presence, including the banks and the accounting firms were visited.

Also present to view the various booths of Bermuda companies, were Bank of Bermuda president, Charles Vaughn-Johnson, who arrived late Tuesday night.

Yesterday afternoon saw the arrival of Bermuda Commercial Bank managing director, Mrs. Audette Exel.

They joined with executive vice president of the Bank of Butterfield, Mr.

Stephen Kempe in attending last night's Bermuda Reception on the riverboat Natchez .

It was the hottest ticket in New Orleans last night. The reception was hosted by the Premier and his Finance Minister, the Hon. David Saul, as the riverboat was docked at the Aquarium of the Americas on the Mississippi River.

The Premier's entourage at the Convention Centre caused quite a stir, as many people sensed that something significant was happening and drew near to see what it was.

Mr. Leopold Mills, Cabinet Secretary was also present as a RIMS photographer busily snapped photos of Sir John and a number of other people.

So much attention was being paid to the Premier's tour, that the exhibitors were eager to great Mr. Swan.

Also on hand was Registrar of Companies, Mr. Malcolm Butterfield.

The media event was being coordinated by Sue White of Advertising Associates.

Mrs. White and husband, John, have been heavily involved in coordinating the Bermuda booth.

The tour actually occurred during a lull in the mostly harried atmosphere of the exhibition. Sir John took time out to test out a virtual reality exhibit put on by Reliance National.

The Bermuda reception, with an invited guest list of 1,000, and attendance by many more, was recognised as being hugely successful. The riverboat was said to have a capacity of 1,200.

The Hon. Sir John Swan.
