Meyer Agencies Limited spokesman Mr. George Butterfield said the ship arrived in Bermuda on Monday and offloaded 80 dry containers and eight refrigerated containers before being sold on Tuesday.
Mr. Butterfield said the ship was bought by a Singaporean company and was renamed the Teysha . She was due to sail today for Singapore after her name, flag and radio were officially changed.
The 262-foot vessel will now operate in the China Sea once she is fitted with a deck crane.
The new Bermuda Islander visited Bermuda for one day on Tuesday in order to pick up empty containers before returning to Salem. She was due to arrive on her maiden voyage to the Island on November 27.
And the Oleander arrived on Sunday from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey with 166 containers including 33 refrigerated containers. She also off loaded six cars, a truck and two Caterpillars before she left on Tuesday morning.
Harnett and Richardson spokeswoman Ms Sylvie Swainson said the car ship Saracen Star was due to arrive today from Yokohama, Japan carrying 119 cars and 63 cases of parts for Bermuda.
She said the ship should leave later today and will head to Nassau and then Freeport.
John S. Darrell spokesman Mr. Tim Southern said the newsprint ship Talisman was due to arrive at Number Seven West Dock with supplies for The Royal Gazette newspaper on November 29 from Dalhousie, Canada.
In other shipping news several military vessels arrived this week.
Mr. Southern said the USS Stark arrived last Saturday morning while on her way to Mayport, Florida from the Azores. The Perry Class frigate berthed in Dockyard and took on fuel before leaving at noon on the same day.
Another Perry Class frigate USS Halyburton arrived on Saturday after completing NATO manoeuvres off Scotland. She also took on fuel at Dockyard as well as four people for a Tiger cruise back to Norfolk, Virginia and left on Sunday morning. The battle cruiser USS Vella Gulf also arrived on Saturday and anchored at Murray's Anchorage while 30 people boarded for a Tiger cruise back to Norfolk. She sailed on Sunday. The frigate HMS Southampton was due to arrive today from the Caribbean where she recently completed her tour as the Royal Navy's West Indies guard ship. She was due to berth at Numbers Five and Six Dock before leaving for England on Friday morning.
The warship HMS Brave was due to arrive on Saturday from England and will stay in Bermuda until Monday morning when she will leave to take over the HMS Southampton's post in the Caribbean.
Her role as the Royal Navy's guard ship in the West Indies will be to support British dependent territories and to conduct counter drug exercises.
Next Monday the Trafalgar Class nuclear submarine HMS Torbay was due to arrive on a routine visit. She will berth at the Knuckles Berth in Dockyard until December 2 when she will leave for a short time. She will return to Bermuda on December 7 for the day.
Mr. Butterfield said the Royal fleet artillery supply ship RSA Oak Leaf was due to arrive this morning at the Commercial Berth in Dockyard for rest and relaxation before leaving on Monday.
