Spring clean for tugboat
the tug boat Faithful is getting spruced up in preparation.
The tug is on dry land at the Meyer Industry slip in St. George's for her annual clean and re-painting.
She is due back at work within the next week or two, ready to accompany the cruise liners as they approach the Island to dock.
However, at the weekend, Bermuda was paid an out-of-season visit by tourists on board the cruise ship the Black Watch .
It arrived into Hamilton Harbour on Sunday afternoon as thousands of spectators lined Front Street watching the Bermuda Kart Grand Prix.
And the liner left around 3.30 p.m. on Monday and carried on its cruise to the Azores.
The cable ship the Agile came into Dockyard yesterday with the mission of transferring cable to the Hiemdel, which is due in on Friday or Saturday.
Tomorrow, the Bermuda Islander is set to dock in Hamilton with 129 containers, 16 of which will be refrigerated crates. She will set sail again out of the Island around 8 a.m. on Friday. And last Sunday, the Oleander arrived in Hamilton from New Jersey carrying 159 dry containers, and 30 refrigerated containers. Also on board were 33 cars, one office trailer and a utility trailer, and a flatbed truck.
She sailed out on Tuesday morning.
