Tokunbo named to senior post
crime litigation in the Attorney General's Chamber.
The Public Service Commission yesterday announced the promotion of Khamisi Tokunbo to senior Crown Counsel (Economic Crime).
Mr. Tokunbo, 41, will be responsible for conducting major economic crime cases and become the forfeiture of assets in accordance with the Drug Trafficking Suppression Act 1988.
He replaces Peter DeJulio who returned to Canada last month.
The appointment went into effect on August 19.

Shaun D. Smith, of Fort Hills Road, Devonshire, pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Magistrates' Court to speeding on Palmetto Road at 73 kph, driving while disqualified, giving Police false statements, riding an unlicensed bike and having no insurance.
Prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said a Police radar check clocked Smith speeding at 73 kph on August 31.
Smith also gave the officers a false name, address and date of birth. At the time of the incident, Smith was off the road for a year for impaired driving.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis banned Smith for another year and ordered him to pay $350 for each count of speeding and driving while disqualified.
Mr. Francis also fined Smith $300 for making false statements, $150 for having no vehicle licence, and $300 for having no insurance.
MAN STOLE BUS VAULTS CTS Man stole bus vaults A Southampton man yesterday appeared in court for stealing two bus vaults worth close to $2,000.
Ricardo Dowling, of Granaway Heights, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to taking the vaults, each worth $952, from the bus terminal in Sandys Parish on August 17 and 19.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said the vaults contained unknown amounts of bus tokens, tickets, and money.
However, Dowling denied breaking into a private home in Sandys on August 20 with intent to steal.
Magistrate Cheryl-Ann Mapp granted Dowling $1,000 bail and ordered him to return to court on September 13 for mention.
CAR DIVER BANNED CTS Car driver banned Driving drunk cost a 68-year-old Hamilton Parish man $400 and his licence for a year.
Henry Jones, of Summit View Drive, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to driving while impaired.
Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said Jones was stopped by Police on March 20 at 3.20 p.m. on Mullet Bay Road in St. George's. Jones told the officers he had three or four drinks before driving.
IMPAIRED VISITOR FINED CTS Impaired visitor fined An American visitor was yesterday fined $400 for driving while impaired.
Rob Alston, of Hawaii, pleaded guilty to the offence in Magistrates' Court.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said Police stopped 23-year-old Alston around 2.40 a.m. on August 29 on Middle Road, Devonshire because of the way he was riding.
Alston admitted he had been drinking and a subsequent test at Hamilton Police Station showed he had 92 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
VISITOR'S BAGS STOLEN CTS Visitors' bags stolen A visiting couple had their beach bag stolen as they swam at Horseshoe Bay in Southampton.
The couple told Police they went for a swim around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. When they returned, the bag was missing.
