Butterfield Bank's common shares rose 1.28 percent (five cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 33,120 shares to close the day at $3.95.

Overall the Index was up 8.74 points (0.42 percent) to 2,090.87, with 33,120 shares worth BD$126,784 and 500 shares worth US$5,900 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index was also the same as Wednesday, climbing 0.55 points (0.05 percent) to 962.92.
