Marsh joins ranks at Troncossi

New role: <B/>Myisha Marsh

A Bermudian who spent years working in New York public relations firms will be joining Troncossi Public Relations.

Myisha Marsh has been hired as a consultant by the local PR firm after returning to the Island after eight years abroad.

Ms Marsh began her career as an associate at MT Media NYC, a New York-based PR and marketing firm and held various jobs, including a senior account executive position at ShynePR, a PR firm in New York City.

Elizabeth Tee, managing director of Troncossi Public Relations, said: "I am delighted to welcome Myisha to the firm. Myisha has a solid public relations background and I am sure our clients will benefit from her experience."

Bermuda-based mineral producer CalciTech Ltd. has appointed Michael Watts as its new director of marketing.

Mr. Watts will be responsible for the marketing programme of the company's SCC products and will play a central role in its expansion. A key element of his responsibilities will be the securing of off-take from the new projects currently under development.

Currently on the Boards of Alpine Venture Partners and BTG SA, both of Switzerland, he spent six years as president and CEO of the BTG Group, a multi-national company owned by Spectris plc. with 100 million euros in sales and 450 employees.

Prior to BTG, he held several senior positions with various companies such as President of Beta Lasermike Inc. of Dayton Ohio, Raychem Corp. of Menlo Park California (now Tyco Electronics), and Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline).

Roger Leopard, CEO of CalciTech, said: "We are delighted to have been able to secure the services of Michael Watts. With him we bring into the company yet again a senior manager with great experience, both in the paper industry and in the field of commercialising new technologies.

"His appointment is part of our earlier announced strategy to develop new projects that should bring our production capacity to over two million tonnes of SCC per annum. With his skills in business and the clear advantages of our SCC based products, we are confident of securing significant orders for our new planned plants prior to their building being completed."

Mr. Watts said: "I am very excited taking on this new role. Having studied the CalciTech products and business model in depth, I feel this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved with a company that has the ability to reshape the landscape of a variety of large and important markets. I look forward to help build CalciTech to become a dominant player in these markets."
