Martin to speak at tech group seminar

Dr James Martin: Speaker at seminar tomorrow evening

Renowned scientist, author and futurologist James Martin will be the keynote speaker at a Microsoft users group seminar tomorrow.Dr Martin, who is considered to be one of the founders of fourth generation development tools and invented CASE (computer aided software engineering), as well as assisting in pioneering object oriented development, enterprise architecture and design, will be speaking at the event on the future of technology.The meeting will be held at XL Group’s offices in One Bermudiana Road between 5.30pm and 8pm.The Bermuda .NET Users Group is a not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing .Net development on the Island by sharing knowledge with and learning from each other.Group meetings will be held three times a year and discussions will range from coding techniques to general architecture and .NET ‘best known methods’.The group will bring in well-known celebrities from the Microsoft development community to talk about their areas of specialty on a regular basis, all of which will be cutting edge, dynamic and interactive.The free event will include giveaways, cocktails and a chance to network with peers.Subjects will be geared to software developers, database administrators, quality assurance professionals, chief information officers, risk officers, actuaries, modellers, students or anyone interested in learning more about software development.For further information or to register for the seminar visit www.dnug.bm
