S.H.Y Architecture closes for business

S.H.Y Architecture has closed its doors for business for the last time with a new interior design company being set up.It is believed that 25 employees worked at S.H.Y and were affected by the closure.In an email to clients, Darcy Robertson, design director and senior interior designer of the newly-formed Commercial Interiors Group, said that S.HY. had encountered many challenges over the past two months resulting in the company being wound up.But he said that the company’s closure had provided an opportunity for its interior team to branch out on their own, with Mr Robertson and Melinda DeCosta, interior designer, and their Computer-Aided Design technologists focusing on going back to their creative and innovative design roots, giving their clients with the best value for money and enabling the employees to grow professionally and personally.“I would personally like to thank all our clients and friends for their continued support and will continue our relationship through this recent change,” he said. “We would not be where we are today without your support.“We are moving into the second quarter of 2011 with a focused direction and enthusiasm for providing each client with the best service and creative direction possible.”An answerphone message at S.H.Y Architecture said that the company had closed for business.
