How suite it is!
Businesses will be able to get the full suite of services all under one roof thanks to a new office solution due to launch later this year.Suite Solutions, which is based at New Venture House in Mill Creek Road, Pembroke, will offer everything from a virtual office to a fully serviced private office.Clients can choose from a menu of support services, with a key selling point of no long-term contracts or lease requirements or capital commitments, providing both convenience and flexibility. The business, which is owned by Don Mackenzie and run by project manager and consultant Glen Smith, claims to be Bermuda’s first purpose-built serviced office and will go live on September 1. Linda Cox also works as a consultant for the project. The virtual office includes reception and telephone answering services plus the use of a meeting room and workstation as required, allowing the company to project a professional image to its customers. The serviced version is a physical turn-key office complete with the additional services customised to meet the tenant’s needs and price plan. In addition there are Wi-Fi and high speed internet services available, as well as the use of a fully equipped boardroom with audio visual capabilities for meetings and video conferences, full use of a kitchen/cafe featuring a television screen, cappuccino machines and a coffee bar, a training room that can hold 24 people for presentations and access to a range of concierge services such as a personal administrator, telephone answering, printing, faxing and mail services, and scheduling corporate and meeting functions.“The bottom line is that as you run your business, we offer you a seamless and cost effective way to manage your office,” said Mr Mackenzie.“You can walk in to our facility and start working with no capital outlay of commitment. Our focus is flexibility.“Here, you can get everything from reception and mail address services to the full office suite.”The facility, which covers 5,000 square feet of the third floor of the building above the Federal Express head quarters and Island Self Storage, will be run by a concierge manager with plans to add more staff as the business expands.Mr Mackenzie said that the product will be very client-centric and he believes it will revolutionise the way business is done in Bermuda.“We will build the complete package around what each individual business wants,” he said.“There have already been a lot of enquiries and interest in this from exempt and local companies about serviced office space and virtual office space.”Mr Smith, who launched IBC more than two decades ago and went into partnership with Mr Mackenzie on his return from the US, said the facility had a number of applications that could be used by everyone from business people to organisations and groups. In the current economic climate, it also serves a purpose for firms downsizing or going into run-off. “You can either be a one-man show or you could fit four people in one of the offices very comfortably,” he said.“This is the kind of facility that could appeal to a small advertising agency or a legal firm with two partners.“All you need to do is turn up with your laptop and start working everything else is here.”The six offices are all fully air conditioned with automatic lighting to supplement the natural light from outside, all of which can be accessed using a swipe card.Another plus point is the 47 car parking and 42 bike spaces on site and 24/7 access to the facility. The storage units at Island Self storage can also be used to file company reports. The spaces can be rented on a day-to-day basis or longer, as can the boardroom for meetings, with rates to be decided. New Venture Holdings Ltd, whose head office will be located on the same level, also has plans to launch a business incubator offering support services and mentoring for start-ups and new business owners. For more information contact Glen Smith on 292-6707 or 334-1755 or visit the website at www.suitesolutions.bm
