Travel & Leisure sees the romance in Bermuda

Bermuda was named as one of the world’s most romantic Islands by Travel & Leisure magazine. In the travel publication’s February issue, Bermuda was named to the 28th spot out of 37 winners ahead of Sicily, Oaho and the Turks & Caicos.“Off the coast of North Carolina, Bermuda isn’t Caribbean, but has plenty else going for it: proximity to the East Coast; semitropical weather; British quirks; and those famous pink beaches,” the review stated. “Close-to-shore reefs with marine life make Church Bay one of the top snorkelling spots, while a climb to the top of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse will reward you with dreamy views of the Atlantic.”Bora-Bora in French Polynesia took the number one spot. The ranking is a new category in the publication’s annual World’s Best Awards survey as chosen by Travel & Leisure readers.
