Walking the charitable walk is an easier in appropriate shoes.Gibbons Company new brand, TOMS footwear, donates a pair of shoes to a child in need with every purchase.A Gibbons spokesman said: “When you buy a pair of TOMS shoes, you’re also helping improve the health, education and wellbeing of a child. Distributing shoes to over 60 countries with the help of giving partners on the ground, TOMS are able to determine the communities that are most in need and add new donation places to the map.“With each pair of shoes that are given, this provides a child with protection from infection and disease, an opportunity to attend school and promotes self-confidence.Shoes are often required for school attendance in many countries. Providing school uniforms, which often includes shoes, to children that cannot afford them can increase school attendance by 62 percent.Gibbons said they are “very proud to partner with TOMS footwear on their mission to improve international living conditions, as well as bringing awareness to contribute to local charities through this initiative.”Their selection of TOMS footwear is available in their men’s department and 25 Reid shoe store.“Not only do you get a cool pair of shoes, but you also get the added benefit of helping a child in need!” said the spokesman.Useful website: www.gibbons.bm
