PwC offers career Headstart to students

PwC Bermuda is hosting a student networking reception next Wednesday where university and college students can learn more about the firm’s HeadStart programme.

HeadStart is a programme that provides valuable professional development opportunities to Bermudians through training, coaching, mentoring and work experience. The range of opportunities includes summer internships, co-op placements, scholarships and a fulltime associates programme where students are supported as they study towards their designations.

The HeadStart networking event will be held on July 16 at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club on Front Street from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Students will have the opportunity to meet PwC professionals, including associates, interns, managing directors and human resource representatives as they explore future possibilities at PwC and learn firsthand how to build their career with the firm.

David Gibbons, PwC managing director and HeadStart programme leader, said: “Our networking reception will provide students with a unique insight into the firm and the exciting opportunities available through our HeadStart programme.

“Our internships and full-time opportunities provide students with the best experiences to learn, grow and excel in their careers. They experience opportunities to develop as an individual and build lasting relationships. Students who perform well, will be offered a full-time position with PwC. This allows students to focus on university life knowing a full-time career is secured.”

Mr Gibbons added: “Our goal is to develop students to their full potential with their personal career goals in mind.”

Those who want to attend should contact Kelly DiVuolo at 295-2000, extension 7239, or e-mail pwcbermuda.student@bm.pwc.com to reserve a space. For more information about the HeadStart programme visit: www.pwc.com/bermudacareers.
