Bermuda Institute’s Tradewins team lived up to their name as they were last night crowned winners of the KPMG Investment Challenge.

The young investors, who gained the largest return among 20 teams representing eight schools from over a six-month period from a virtual portfolio that began with $100,000, won the first prize of $10,000 in real money for their school from sponsors KPMG.

The team of Ashé Trimm, Trey Simons, Azzi Mayes, Daijah Stowe and Alexis Courtney Selvy led from early on in the challenge and finished strong to top the final standings.

They were presented with their prize by Education Minister Wayne Scott in a ceremony at the Bermuda Society of Arts Centre last night.

Full details and final results of the Challenge will appear in Monday’s Business section in The Royal Gazette.
