Managers are to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day next month with a day-long event designed to boost success on the job.

The “Succeeding Professionally, Growing Personally” seminar will feature both international and local speakers.

Barbara Weathers, certification manager of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, will be the keynote speaker at the event to be held at the Fairmont Southampton on Wednesday, April 27.

Ms Weathers will discuss how to achieve a “good to great mindset”, how to stand out from the crowd and look at the evolving role of administrative professionals.

She will also talk about qualifications and their career implications and her organisation’s Certified Administrative Professional qualification.

Linda Smith, senior vice-president for corporate relations at Ascendant, Kellianne Smith, head of global human resources and organisational development at insurance firm Argus, Nim De Swardt, global millennials manager at Bacardi International, and Pandora Glasford, training manager at Government’s Department of Workforce Development, will also feature as speakers.

The event, sponsored by Ascendant, Argus and Bacardi, will run from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Tickets cost $310 before March 31 or $325 after that date.
