Choir offers ?tale for our times?
The hosts of the Brooklyn Tabernacle?s Grammy Award-winning choir are now putting on a theatrical production. The Cornerstone Bible Fellowship have teamed up again with the New York-area church, but this time with its drama company.
The drama entitled ?The Necklace? will take place at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts on March 25 and 26.
The production will mark the first time that the Brooklyn Tabernacle Drama Company has performed outside of New York City. Soloists from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir will also perform during the evening.
The drama, directed by Marlene Carroll and produced by Susan Pettrey, is a tale for our times and the play will feature a story about a woman struggling to find acceptance and happiness in a world driven by materialism. The Cornerstone drama team is directed by Niranjalie Romeo. ?We think it is a story that many people will be able to identify with,? said Pastor Gary Simons of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship.
?Through this drama we are trying to get people to focus on the importance of relationships rather than material things. We would like to invite all of Bermuda to attend this powerful dramatic presentation.?
