Keeping your funnybone tickled over Christmas
For eight years Roger Crombie has been tickling Bermuda's funnybone with his `Bermuda Factory' column in RG magazine. Indeed, for most readers the back page is the first page in terms of priority reading. So popular are the monthly humour columns in fact, that their author has decided to issue them in book form.
Just in time for Christmas giving, `Bermuda Factory, Volume One,' is about to be launched in local bookstores. It covers the first 30 columns published between February 1993 and July 1995, and each column is accompanied by a new introduction in which the author briefly explains the background to the story. The introduction, written in Mr. Crombie's trademark style, explains how he chooses subjects for his columns, and even includes examples of some which didn't make it.
Priced at $19.95, this is a "must have" for anyone who enjoys a good laugh.
Book signings will take place at the Bermuda Bookstore, Queen Street on December 14 and 15 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and at the Bookmart above the Phoenix on December 21 from 12 to 2 p.m.
