Rotating exhibit at Burnaby Gallery

launch its first summer-long, rotating exhibition this week, and Gallery manager Debbie Harper is excited about the prospect.

"Judging by the artwork submitted, this should be a wonderful show,'' she predicts. "The standard is very high, and includes works not only by Bermuda's premier artists, but also two young, budding artists: Johanna Flath and Heather McDonald.'' The exhibition, entitled Summer Delights, will be rotating works every two weeks.

"If possible we will try to exhibit two pieces from each artist, and as a piece sells we will replace it immediately with a second piece from the same artist,'' Ms Harper explains. "If works do not sell within two weeks, we may replace them with another artist's work for the same length of time.'' Among Bermuda's well-known artists taking part are Joan Aspinall, Will Collieson, Vernon Clarke, Dan Dempster, Graham Foster, Marita Idh-Gauntlett, Manuel Palacio, Al Seymour, Caroline Troncossi and Otto Trott, all of whom are exhibiting new works.

Summer Delights opens to the public tomorrow, and runs until September 9.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturdays. Admission is free. For further information telephone 292-8614.
