Coldwell Banker is accepting donations for its Toys for Tots programme today through December 6.The gifts will be delivered to needy children associated with the Coalition for Protection of Children, via Santa Claus at a special Christmas party on December 11.Sporting goods like soccer balls and cricket sets are popular toys for boys; dolls, arts and crafts are good choices for younger girls.Gift certificates of anything upwards of $10 are welcome for teenage recipients at places like sporting goods stores, movie theatres and beauty outlets, said organiser Kim Webb.Monetary donations will also be accepted and go straight to the Coalition to help pay for food and other supplies necessary to help struggling families.Extra toys will go to the Salvation Army, Hands of Love, Family Centre or the Children’s Ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.People can drop off toys to the Coldwell Banker office on Par-La-Ville Road in Hamilton or call 247-1800 for more information.
