If you liked the rich harmonies and powerful stage presence of a cappella singing group Voces8 in 2010 — you are in for a big treat. The Bermuda Festival have added another night of performance on Saturday, February 23, due to high audience demand. The ex -choristers of Westminster Abbey rose to fame in 2005 when they won first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Goriza, Italy. They went on to perform across the world including Europe, America, Africa and Asia and thrilled local audiences when they performed at The Bermuda Festival in 2010.Karen Pollard, the festival’s Artistic Director, said: "Voces8 were so well received in 2010 that we brought them back. These are exceptional vocalists and this year they will be working with local schoolchildren in an exciting project that will produce a free youth choir concert on February 20th.“We have been delighted with the support shown by the public for their performances and have added one more performance in an effort not to disappoint anyone," she said.A second showing of The British Invasion will take place on Saturday, February 23 at 8pm at City Hall Theatre. It is described as a “scintillating arrangement of songs” originally made famous by artists like Sting, the Police, David Bowie, Phil Collins and The Beatles.Tickets are available online at www.bermudafestival.org or through box office locations at Fabulous Fashions in the Heron Bay and the Sportseller in the Washington Mall.
