Chewstick will host a fundraising concert this weekend in aid of a young singer hoping to travel around the world with Up With People.Delijah Symonds was recently accepted to take part in the cultural and educational programme for two semesters.She will travel and live in more than 20 different communities on two continents and take part in volunteer projects and musical productions.The catch is she needs to raise $30,000 to make her dream of taking part in the programme a reality.Performing artists Haz, Marvo and Olivia will also take to the stage as part of Saturday night’s fundraiser at the Chewstick Neo Griot Lounge on Court Street.Tickets are $10 online or at the door, and seating is limited.
