Bermuda National Gallery Eyes on the World in partnership with the Alexia Foundation, Women Artists in the Bermuda National Gallery Collection, Impressions of Bermuda: The David L White Gift to the BNG, and Meredith Andrews: Portraits of Power. Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard From now until July 26, the gallery will be hosting another juried group show featuring Bermuda’s hidden secrets by the Plein Air Group. The Arts Centre is open everyday from 11am — 5pm.

Bermuda Society of the Arts will be displaying the diverse works and the evolution of art in Bermuda, with its 60th Anniversary Exhibition, until August 6. Many works over the years were geared to selling to tourists and showcased the Island’s natural beauty, landscape, architecture, waters and activities. There will be a grand opening for the exhibit, held on Friday (July 12) from 5pm until 7pm. BSoA is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art The Artist in the Garden Series will be on display until July 17th, featuring Amanda Temple’s unique ‘Wabi Sabi’ exhibition. Her new works will showcase photography and mixed media pieces printed on metals and was inspired by the eastern philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection. Also on show in the Butterfield Family Gallery is Drawing with Light: The history of image making in Bermuda. Bermudian artist Mark Henderson will be also exhibiting his work of acrylic, alkyd, and pen on canvas in Homer’s Café from July 13th, until August 9th; and artwork is available for purchase.

Special Exhibit artist Jim Kuhlman will be showcasing a variety of watercolour paintings in his show Breathing, with an opening reception to be held on August 9th from 5.30pm until 7pm in the Rick Faries Gallery. The show will run until August 28th and artwork is available for purchase. Jim will also host a watercolour clinic on Saturday, August 10th at 10am. To register, contact 299-4000. The Windjammer II Gallery will be displaying “Summer Exhibition 2013” — a group show featuring artists like Stephen Card, William Collieson, Molly Godet, Christopher Grimes, Sheilagh Head, Milton Hill, Christina Hutchings, Nicholas Silk, Caroline Troncossi and Chesley Trott. The Ace Gallery Celebrating Bermuda’s Colours: Bermuda Botanicals 1871 1877 is showing works by artist Charlotte Anna Lefroy. It’s a partnership between the Ace Gallery and Bermuda National Trust to showcase these colourful botanical paintings for the first time since they were created in the 1870s. It will be on display from now until August 1. The Ace Gallery, located in the Ace Building, 17 Woodbourne Avenue, Hamilton, is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am 2pm or by appointment for groups. St. George’s Historical Society will be hosting the Jubilee Exhibit, which explores Bermuda’s fascination with British Royalty from 1883 1953. The exhibit showcases Royal memorabilia from the personal collections of the Society’s members. Located on the corner of Duke of Kent Street & Featherbed Alley, St. George’s, the society’s winter hours are 10am to 4pm Wednesdays and Saturdays. National Museum of Bermuda Dockyard ‘Shipwreck Island’ showcases artefacts found during the Island’s early discovery and settlement in 16th and 17th Century.
