Boat runs aground

A sailboat with one person onboard had to call for rescue after running aground in St George's harbour. The 26ft sloop Summer Delight dragged her anchor under high winds and rough seas, and at 4.30am yesterday sent out a distress call. The boat took heavy damage to her rudder and keel against the rocks on Smith's Island.Bermuda Maritime Operations sent the pilot boat St David to assist, and the sailboat was towed to Ordnance Island in St George's Harbour. It was the second incident in less than a month for the Summer Delight: A few weeks ago the vessel required a fuel transfer from a passing merchant ship, after breaking her boom about 300 miles north of the Island.
