Still no sign of the Carefree

The Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre said there was still no sight of two Bermudian sailors aboard the SV Carefree last night. The sailors, Carlos Rogers and Kwesi Hollis, have not been heard from since January 3 when they asked a passing container ship for food and water approximately 150 nautical miles southeast of Bermuda. The pair sparked a US Coast Guard search before Christmas.Last night a spokesman for the Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre said the sailors had not asked for help, beyond food and water, and were still believed to be on their way to Bermuda. He said the centre continued to call out to them through the radio, but that their equipment may not be working.
