Bermuda makes list of world's most beautiful air approaches
Bermuda features on a list of the world’s most beautiful air approaches, taken from a survey of pilots and flight attendants.Air Canada flight attendant Heather Zorzini, who recently retired after 31 years and 20 million miles on the job, told Newsweek BudgetTravel that LF Wade International Airport was her all-time favourite place to land. She described the Island as “just as lovely from the air as it is on the ground” and said the approach creates “an achingly picturesque vista”.The article calls Bermuda an unexpected oasis in the Atlantic Ocean.“Deep-green seas fade to pale turquoise as they lap at pink beaches, and pastel houses with white limestone roofs come into focus on the surrounding lush hillsides,” it states.Airports in St Maarten, California, New York, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Colorado, Wyoming and Aruba also made the list.
