The latest open meeting of the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will take place on Monday.The cross-party committee chaired by Shadow Finance Minister Bob Richards will meet at 2.30pm at the Senate Chamber in the Cabinet Building on Front Street.The PAC began meeting publicly for the first time last June, allowing taxpayers to hear their deliberations and questioning of civil servants on public spending.The UBP had called for years for residents to be allowed into the meetings, while The Royal Gazette’s A Right To Know: Giving People Power campaign lobbied to end the practice of meetings being held behind closed doors.
