Film aficionado Mike Murphy’s library of films on DVD is now open on Saturdays.“We want people to have access to a really fine collection. They’re historical films, silent films, restored films, from the early silent era all the way up to 2010,” he said.The Limbo Up DVD Library Foundation is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 11.30am to 2.30pm.Thousands of films are available for borrowing from the group’s headquarters, on the first floor of the Somers Building at 15 Front Street.Bring identification and register, and you can access the library’s website with a list of titles and extensive reviews.Mr Murphy said: “I’ve always enjoyed film and with the help of volunteers I set this resource up to make the Island a little bigger.”
