Breaking News: Attack victim flown overseas for treatment

A 41-year-old man has been flown overseas for hospital treatment after being attacked by a group of men who broke into his home, Police said this afternoon.

About 10pm on Monday, the Warwick man arrived at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) for treatment for injuries which were first reported to have been sustained in a road accident, Police said.

But a spokesman added:”Some five and a half hours later, Police were first made aware through one of the man's relatives that he was being treated at KEMH for serious head injuries.

“An investigation was immediately commenced and it now appears that around 9.50pm on Monday, a number of men gained entry into a Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick residence by smashing through a glass door and assaulted the victim.
