Breaking News: Police name road crash victim
A 28-year-old woman who died a week after being injured in a road crash was this afternoon named as Katrina Flood, of Pembroke.
She was critically injured when she lost control of her bike and crashed on Saturday, June 5, at 3.30 a.m. on Crow Lane, near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. No-one else was involved in the accident.
She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with serious head and internal injuries, but died yesterday morning.
Her death marks the seventh fatality on the Island's roads this year.
A Police spokesman said: The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Flood. Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information about this collision to contact PC Carol Skerritt on 295-0011.
