Two men were this morning charged with attempted murder in connection with the September 23 shooting of David Godwin.

Jahmico Trott, 23, and Dunn-Ya Taylor, 22, were both charged in Magistrates’ Court with attempting to kill Mr. Godwin, on St. Monica’s Road.

Trott was additionally charged with using a firearm to commit the crime of attempted murder and possession of a firearm without legal authority.

Because the charges must be heard in the Supreme Court, neither defendant was asked to plea.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded both men in custody.
