End your feud, Pembroke woman told
A Pembroke woman was told to end her feud with another woman after pleading guilty to uttering threatening words.
Lanell Burrows, 33, of Tablerock Avenue, was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner, who warned: “You have to break the cycle of bad blood and avoid this behaviour as it is only a matter of time before it escalates.”
Burrows was arrested on May 26 after an altercation with complainant Natasha Fox outside Northland Primary.
Burrows, who was ordered to have no contact with Ms Fox for one year, claimed the pair had been involved in a dispute a year earlier. She also alleged that Ms Fox and her boyfriend attempted to run her off the road the day before the May 26 altercation.
Threats to kill Policemen lead to prison
A man will spend 30 days in prison for threatening to kill Police officers.
Ricardo Hunt, 24, of Middletown Road, Pembroke, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to uttering threatening words.
Crown counsel Anthony Blackman said Hunt became aggressive towards Police who were in the area on a separate matter and repeated his threats.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner heard that Hunt has a history of aggressive behaviour.
Drunk driver taken off road
A 41-year-old drunk driver was fined $1,000 and disqualified from driving all vehicles.
Daniel Briere of St. Mary's Road, Warwick, was driving a livery cycle on Middle Road in Warwick on August 20.
Crown counsel Paula Tyndale told Magistrates' Court that an off-duty Police officer followed Briere home and saw him swerve into the oncoming lane and almost collide with another vehicle.
