Breaking News: $100,000 reward to catch gun killers
A $100,000 reward is being offered to find the killers of the four men murdered in gang related shootings in the past month.
We Will Rise Above, Bermuda — a movement formed in the immediate wake of 30-year-old Kumi Harford’s death on St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke on December 5 — announced the incentive today.
Rise said it partnered with Crime Stoppers Bermuda and the business community to come up with the cash.
A statement released this afternoon said: “We recognise that we...had to create an incentive for individuals to come forward to give information that might help stop the gun violence.
“We believe that this is one of many tools we must use in the fight to gain back our communities. We believe that giving incentive to those who live in these neighbourhoods also a represents a ray of hope.”
Garry “Fingaz” Cann, Shane Minors and Perry Puckerin have been murdered since Mr. Harford was shot.
