British Airways today said “it hopes” flights to and from Bermuda will operate — though the airline said there would be delays.

It also urged people due to travel to check the British Airways website www.ba.com before travelling.

A press release from BA said: “Severe weather conditions continue to have an impact on airline operations in the UK. Gatwick Airport has now opened.

“It is hoped that the flights to and from Bermuda will operate today although both will be delayed. We are asking passengers to keep checking the BA website before travelling to the Bermuda airport.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and would like to thank our customers for their patience.”
