Breaking News: CedarBridge Academy Board resigns
Created: Oct 15, 2010 11:00 AM
The entire CedarBridge Academy Board of Governors resigned today after Education Minister Elvin James terminated the services of its chairman and deputy chairman.
In a brief press release, Mr. Scott said the Minister had acted under “statutory and ministerial authority.”
He also circulated a letter dated October 13 sent to him by the Minister, saying that he has served more than two consecutive terms on the board of Governors —– which breaches the terms of the Education Act.
No information was given as to the reasons for terminating Ms Foggo, who declined to discuss the situation this evening.
Mr. James, who is in Trinidad, also refused to comment.
