Breaking News: Crown drops case against women charged with firearm offences

A 24-year-old woman charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition, was today told the Crown was not pursuing its case against her.

Tiffany Eatherly had been charged with possessing a gun and a bullet — a single nine millimetre round — between January 13 and December 16, 2009.

In Magistrates’ Court this morning however, Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner informed Ms Eatherly that the Crown had decided not to pursue its case, and she was free to go.

Mr. Warner warned Ms Eatherly her information would be kept on file and she could be tried at a later date if the Crown deemed it necessary.
