Breaking News: Police name accident victims
Police this afternoon named the victims of two fatal road accidents which happened within three days.
This morning 78-year-old James McMaster, of Devonshire, died when his motorbike collided with a bus at the junction of South Road and Mission Road, near Modern Mart.
Mr. McMaster was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A Police spokesman said: “The driver of the bus, a 50-year-old Southampton woman, was not injured but was taken to KEMH for evaluation. It appears there were passengers on the bus at the time; however there were no reported injuries.”
On Saturday 22-year-old Delmont Browne, of Paget, died after his motorcyle was involved in a three vehicle collision on Middle Road, in Paget, near Eve’s Cycles.
The Police spokesman added: “The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
The two deaths brings to eight the number of people who have died on Bermuda’s roads this year.
