New signs designed to lure visitors to Crystal Caves
With the decline in tourist attractions in the Bailey?s Bay area following the closure of the perfumery and the glass blowing factory in less than a year, Crystal Caves decided to do something extra to lure tourists in. Solution? Modern new signs that are sure to grab the attention of tourists as they go by.
Vice president of Wonderland Ltd., the operators of Crystal Caves of Bermuda, David Summerssaid the new signs, which are the same size as the previous ones, employed a state-of-the-art technology and were developed with the assistance of the creative team at Aardvark.
He said the team assured him the signs were not only appealing, but also attention grabbing and that?s what he is counting on as they went up along Wilkinson Avenue. Mr. Summers said the company had planning approval for the signs. In addition, the driveway leading from Wilkinson Avenue to the caves has been realigned and a walkway has also been created in time for summer.
The Crystal and Fantasy Caves have often been compared to Harrison?s Cave in Barbados as a leading tourist attraction, one of the most visited attractions in Bermuda and Mr. Summerssaid recognising that the caves were at the forefront of the ?Bermuda product?, they recognised the need to enhance and improve the attraction.
Mr. Summerssaid the closure of the perfumery and glass blowing factory in the Blue Hole area would be greatly missed and only emphasised the point that Crystal Caves needed to plan for the future.
