Cyclist breaks leg andwrist

A man broke his right leg and wrist in a road accident yesterday.The 33-year-old Smith's man was riding along North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Band Room Lane at noon when it took place.A police spokesman said: "It appears that the motorcycle was travelling west on North Shore Road and the car was travelling in the opposite direction when the car overtook a bus also travelling east and collided with the motorcycle."

The 33-year-old Smith's man was riding along North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Band Room Lane at noon when it took place.
A police spokesman said: "It appears that the motorcycle was travelling west on North Shore Road and the car was travelling in the opposite direction when the car overtook a bus also travelling east and collided with the motorcycle."
The driver of the car, a 31 year old Devonshire man, was not injured; however he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received front end damage.
