Spokesman Evelyn James Barnett reported that the man was about to lock up the restaurant, in Sandys, when he heard noises in the rear. In the kitchen he found the two would-be chefs cooking hamburgers on the hot plate. They had filled a bag with beer and ice tea and ran away when he challenged them.

The bartender gave Police good descriptions of the two men.

MORGAN'S POINT OPEN SATURDAY MIL Morgan's Point open Saturday The Bermuda Land Development Company yesterday issued a reminder that Morgan's Point -- the old Naval Annex at Southampton -- will be open to the public Saturday.

The gate will open at 10 a.m. and the first bus tour is scheduled to begin at 10.30 a.m.

Tours will run every half hour thereafter. The last bus tour will begin no later than 2.30 p.m.

TEEN ATTACKED BY YOUNG GANG CRM Teen attacked by young gang A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital suffering with a chipped tooth, facial bruises and a bump on his head after a group of young people attacked him in a parking lot on Tuesday evening.

Police suspect a prior argument with another student at the victim's school was the reason for the attack.

The boy had just finished a night class and was walking through the parking lot when several young people wrestled him to the ground and began to kick him in the head.

The victim's sister-in-law found him just after the assault and took him home.

CELLULAR PHONES TAKE FROM CAR CRM Cellular phones taken from car Two cellular phones worth a total of $600 were stolen from a 58-year-old construction manager's vehicles.

The vehicles were parked on King Street where he was working.

The serial number for one of the phones and battery is SU72162-A 299GV41818-7.

MAN, 26, ADMITS DRUG POSSESSION CTS Man, 26, admits drug possession Twenty-six-year-old Owen Lightbourne pleaded guilty at Magistrates' Court yesterday to possessing cannabis.

Lightbourne, of Rose Hill, Southampton, also admitted obstructing a Police officer, but denied assault and violently resisting arrest.

The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday at St. George's.

Lightbourne was granted $1,000 bail, with like surety, and ordered to reappear December 20.

CHILDREN THREW ORGANGES AT HOUSE CRM Children threw oranges at house A group of children are believed to have hurled oranges through the windows of a 71-year-old woman's home.

Four panes of glass were broken after someone threw four oranges through the window of a home on Rosemont Avenue in Pembroke.

The woman reported that between 6:45 and 6:50 p.m. she was working inside when someone threw the oranges.

Police are investigating.
