"I didn't realise we would be on the cover,'' Devonshire resident Mrs.

Beverly Morfitt, who is pictured on Interrace magazine with her Policeman husband Craig, said yesterday.

"They've had our photo for at least a year,'' said Mrs. Morfitt of the Atlanta-based magazine. "We've been regular subscribers to the (four-year-old) magazine since day one, and occasionally they ask people to send in their pictures. So we did.'' Although Mrs. Morfitt, who works at Government Information Services, claimed that she had to point herself out to the vendor who sold her a copy of the magazine, she said that those who have recognised her have generally been impressed.

"Most people have said it's a very nice picture,'' Mrs. Morfitt told The Gazette .

Interrace is distributed across the US and purports to be "America's First and 1 Magazine for Interracial Couples, Families and People.'' Meanwhile, Bermuda is also the cover focus of the January issue of Monitoring Times, the magazine of choice for shortwave radio receivers.

"When your scanner gets tired of listening to snowploughs being mobilised by the highway department and the weather-related traffic jams on and above the ground, give your scanner a vacation -- take it to Bermuda!'' the magazine reads.

"With the constant merchant and tourist air and marine traffic, plus all the usual public safety, business and military communications, your scanner will enjoy a veritable smorgasbord of frequencies.'' Monitoring Times, a monthly, is based in North Carolina.
