The victim of the stabbing, which occurred on Tuesday night, is still in the intensive care unit of the hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.

A Police spokesperson said they were now appealing for the driver of a station wagon taxi. "This driver picked up a male passenger around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night from the car park of Richardson's Restaurant on North Shore Road in Pembroke,'' the spokesperson said.

"He drove the passenger to Langton Lane and awaited the return of the passenger. The taxi driver then drove him to Middle Road in Smith's Parish near Darrell and Seamans.'' The spokesperson added that the passenger never paid his fare of $42. Police would like the taxi driver to contact Insp. Legay Farley.
