Wilson, 38, of South Road, Paget, admitted possessing .04 grams of cocaine. He also pleaded guilty to having a knife used for drugs.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told Magistrates' Court the offences came to light at 11.30 a.m. on August 4 when Police found Wilson in a derelict building in Court Street.

"They saw the accused sitting at a concrete block behind a makeshift table,'' said Sgt. Osborne.

A white "rock-like'' substance was discovered on Wilson.

"When asked what it was the defendant replied it was a microdot,'' Sgt.

Osborne said.

HANDBAG SNATCH CRM Police acted quickly to arrest a suspected handbag snatcher in Southampton on Wednesday evening.

Three visitors were walking along South Road, Southampton, when a man grabbed a handbag from a woman's shoulder. He ran off in an easterly direction.

A 34-year-old Devonshire man was arrested soon after by Police. The handbag, which has not been recovered, contained a small amount of cash, travellers' cheques and personal items. Detectives are continuing inquiries into the incident.

COLLAMORE DEATH OBT Word has been received of the death of Mr. Wallace Rowe Collamore in the United States. He was 62.

Mr. Collamore had many Bermudian friends, and his wife, Joan, has relations on the Island.

Born in Connecticut, Mr. Collamore was in the insurance business for 40 years, before retiring in 1981. He attended the University of Connecticut, and served in World War Two as an Army sergeant.

He died in Manasota Key after moving there five years ago from Simsbury, Connecticut.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; two daughters, Ms Candace Payne, of New Jersey, and Ms Caryn Dubrino of New Hampshire; a step-daughter, Ms Jennifer Rittelmeyer, of North Carolina; two stepsons, Mr. Alexander Weedon, of Massachusetts, and Mr. Christopher Weedon, of Simsbury; a brother, Mr. H.

Bacon Jr. of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three newphews.

GOSPEL CONCERT ENT Fans of gospel music will be in for a treat at Southampton Glebe School on October 23. The Salvation Army White Hill Home League is presenting a gospel concert, starting at 7.30 p.m.

CAR REMOVED CRM Police are seeking a car which was "removed'' from Bermudiana Road, in Hamilton, last Sunday.

The vehicle is a white Nissan Sunny, registration 07673, and was last seen by its owner at 4 a.m. that day.
